Da Vinci Gallery presented Catherine Timotei in a solo exhibition at the Artscape Theatre Centre in Cape Town, on April 19th 2017. At the same time Artscape Theatre was showing the great performance of “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” attracting a large audience.
During this exhibition, Catherine Timotei had the honor of the presence of Artscape CEO Marlene Leroux and French Counselor Xavier d’Argoeuves, American Air Force General Bill Constantine, actors from the theatre play “Priscillia Queen of the Desert”, the group students from LDV gallery’s art initiative “Art from the Heart”, and many art lovers from the theatre.
Artscape Theatre Centre is the main performing arts centre in Cape Town, South Africa. The complex includes: an Opera House, a Theatre, and an Arena Theatre. The Artscape Theatre Centre is also the home of Fine Music Radio and oversees the Maynardville Open-Air Theatre in Wynberg, Cape Town. It also houses the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cape Town Opera. The Cape Town City Ballet also performs there.
